Free Foster The People Show Tomorrow Night @ The Echo!

Looking for something fun to do tomorrow night? Go see Foster The People play a free show at The Echo! Tomorrow's lineup also includes White Sea & Chain Gang of 1974. Foster The People has been playing free shows at The Echo every Wednesday in January but, of course, I just found out about it today & I can't go tomorrow night because I'm having a Semester at Sea reunion dinner. I'm excited to see these guys perform soon though!

Little Dragon @ The Natural History Museum Los Angeles - 1/7/11

Starting our Downtown LA girls night extravaganza with a show was a super fun idea but, if we learned anything last night, it was one very important lesson: If you're going to go to a First Friday concert at The Natural History Museum (the 1st Friday of every month January through June), you MUST get there early & should NOT pick up your tickets from will call. Either splurge on shipping charges to get your hard tickets mailed to you or buy them at the door. And, worst case, if you can't get into the North American Mammal Hall to actually see the show, just head on over to the African Mammal Hall to have a drink & go on a mini safari!

I did not legitimately see Little Dragon last night but I liked what I heard from a room away & had a blast with my girlfriends :-)

Anthony B @ The Echoplex - 1/5/10

If you like reggae music & you're looking for something fun to do on a Wednesday night (perhaps to liven up the monotony of of a dull workweek), I HIGHLY recommend checking out Dub Club at The Echoplex in Echo Park. I'd only been to Dub Club once before last night &, although I had a good time the 1st time, last night was exceptionally awesome because Anthony B was the headliner & he was fantastic! He's an outstanding performer with tons of energy & killer dance moves. His cover of Gregory Isaacs' Night Nurse was my favorite. It was a perfect tribute to the late reggae legend.
